FAVORABLE CONDITIONS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DHARMA ASSEMBLY OF GRATITUDE III:
Filial piety is the supreme condition for entering the Buddhist path. The Three Jewels of the Ten Directions, the Great Patriarchs through history achieved perfect enlightenment in the process of practice because of many lifetimes of cultivating Bodhi mind, cultivating good roots and merits with the spirit of filial piety. That is the practice that every Buddhist in general, leaders and members of the Vietnamese Buddhist Youth Association (VBYA) in particular, must wholeheartedly cultivate in their own life of study and service.
Filial piety in Buddhism is the spirit of gratitude for the wonderful causes and conditions that have been created for us, which is our wish of “Repaying the Four Great Debts to Those Above”. In the service of the VBYA, members in each generation, no matter what country they are in, always patiently overcome obstacles to maintain the first aspiration of filial piety.
Continuing the tradition of previous generations of Buddhists in their homeland of Vietnam, each VBYA member receives the Buddha essence and national essence to raise their lives with the tradition of “Drinking water, remember the source”, carrying the morality of the Vietnamese Buddha homeland to thousands of directions to promote the Dharma, spreading Ao Lam – Grey Shirt to every home.
Following and serving the teachings of the Venerable Elders of the Sangha Council of the Supreme Patriarchate, the Sangha Council, the Education – Sila Council of the Vietnamese Buddhist Youth Association; continuing the achievements of the two Dharma Assemblies of Gratitude I and II; The Council of Dung Rank Leaders, the Steering Committee of the Vietnamese Buddhist Youth Association at all levels around the world, the VBYA Leaders and members in the world sincerely decide to jointly establish the Dharma Assembly of Gratitude III of Vietnamese Buddhist Youth Association Worldwide, Buddhist calendar year 2567, year of the Cat, calendar year 2024.
VBYA ashram in the world looks forward to the Dharma Assembly of Gratitude III:
– To pay tribute to the the Four Great Debts.
– To sincerely commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Dharma Tribulation of Vietnamese Buddhism.
– To sincerely celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Unified Buddhist Congregation of Vietnam (UBCV).
– To sincerely commemorate the 50th anniversary of the passing of the First Supreme Patriarch of the UBCV: Late Venerable Elder Thich Tinh Khiet.
– To sincerely commemorate the 50th anniversary of the passing of the late Venerable Thich Thien Hoa, Director of the Buddhist Institute of Buddhism, Former Head of the Central Guidance Committee of the VBYA.
– To sincerely commemorate the 45th anniversary of the passing of the late Venerable Thich Thien Minh, Member of the Advisory Board of the Steering Committee of Dharma Propagation Institute, Former First General Director of the Youth Department of the UBCV.
– To sincerely commemorate the 49-day worship ceremony of the Most Venerable Thich Tue Sy, Chief Secretary and Standing Manager of the Supreme Patriarchate of the UBCV.
– To sincerely commemorate the Venerable Clergy of the Bicameral Council of the UBCV, and the Venerable Masters of the UBCV at all levels around the world.
– To sincerely commemorate the 55th anniversary of the death of Layman Tam Minh – Le Dinh Tham, Founder of the VBYA.
– To sincerely commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Layman Chanh Tri – Mai Tho Truyen, Honorary Brother of VBYA, Founder of the VBYA in the South.
– To sincerely commemorate our Contributor Seniors, Benefactors, Founders, Patrons, Patriarchs, Brothers, and members of the VBYA in the world.
– To sincerely celebrate the 60th anniversary of the unification of the Vietnamese Buddhist Youth Association in a structure under the General Department of Youth – Dharma Propagation Institute of the UBCV.
CONTENT OF THE DHARMA ASSEMBLY OF GRATITUDE III:
The Dharma Assembly of Gratitude III is established with the following contents:
– Fostering and cultivating merits to make offerings on the anniversary day of the Buddha’s Enlightenment.
– Setting up Great Vegetarian Altar nobly named DUC CHON with Prayer Services for the Deceased, the Lonely Souls, for Injustice Releasing and Unjust Deaths, so as to pray for the yin and the yang existing harmoniously in peace and happiness.
– Offering flowers and lanterns, releasing sentient beings, and releasing lanterns to pray for eternal Dharma, peace of living beings, and peace of the country and people.
– Organizing monks’ offering ceremony.
– Giving gifts to VBYA members in difficult circumstances.

DUYÊN KHỞI KIẾN LẬP PHÁP HỘI:
Hiếu hạnh là điều kiện thù thắng để thể nhập Phật đạo. Mười phương Tam Bảo, Lịch đại Tổ sư thành tựu viên mãn đạo quả trong tiến trình tu tập là do nhiều đời kiếp huân phát Bồ-đề tâm, nuôi lớn thiện căn, công đức bằng tinh thần hiếu tâm, hiếu hạnh. Đó là pháp hành mà mỗi người con Phật nói chung, Huynh Trưởng, Đoàn Sinh Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam (GĐPTVN) nói riêng phải dốc lòng trưởng dưỡng trong đời sống tu học, phụng sự của tự thân.
Hiếu trong Phật Giáo là tinh thần tri ân báo ân đối với những nhân duyên thù thắng đã tác thành cho chúng ta, đó là tâm nguyện “Thượng báo tứ trọng ân”. Trong lam trình phụng sự của tổ chức GĐPTVN, từng lớp thế hệ Lam Viên dù ở quốc độ nào cũng luôn kham nhẫn vượt thắng chướng duyên để gìn giữ chí nguyện hiếu hạnh làm đầu.
Tiếp nối truyền thống của các thế hệ Phật Tử tiến bối trên quê hương Việt Nam, mỗi Lam Viên được tiếp nhận Phật chất và tinh ba Dân tộc nuôi lớn đời mình bằng truyền thống “Uống nước nhớ nguồn”, mang đạo lý của quê hương Phật Việt đi khắp ngàn phương tuyên dương chánh pháp, làm cho Áo Lam lan rộng muôn nhà.
Phụng hành giáo giới của Chư tôn Trưởng lão Hội Đồng Giáo Phẩm Viện Tăng Thống, Hội Đồng Tăng Già Bản Thệ, Hội Đồng Giáo Giới GĐPTVN; tiếp nối thành tựu của 2 kỳ Pháp Hội Thù Ân 1, 2; Hội Đồng Huynh Trưởng Cấp Dũng, Ban Hướng Dẫn GĐPTVN các cấp trên toàn thế giới, Huynh Trưởng, Đoàn Sinh GĐPTVN trên thế giới thành tâm kiến lập Pháp Hội Thù Ân GĐPTVN Trên Thế Giới lần thứ 3, Phật lịch 2567, năm Quý Mão, dương lịch 2024.

- Đảnh lễ truy tiến báo Tứ Trọng Ân.
- Thành tâm tưởng niệm 60 năm Pháp Nạn Phật Giáo Việt Nam.
- Thành tâm kỷ niệm 60 năm thành lập Giáo Hội Phật Giáo Việt Nam Thống Nhất (GHPGVNTN).
- Thành tâm tưởng niệm 50 năm ngày viên tịch của Đức Đệ Nhất Tăng Thống GHPGVNTN: Cố Trưởng Lão Hòa Thượng thượng Tịnh hạ Khiết.
- Thành tâm tưởng niệm 50 năm ngày viên tịch của Cố Hòa Thượng thượng Thiện hạ Hoa, Viện Trưởng Viện Hóa Đạo GHPGVNTN, Nguyên Trưởng Ban Hướng Dẫn Trung Ương GĐPTVN.
- Tưởng niệm 45 năm ngày viên tịch của Cố Hòa Thượng thượng Thiện hạ Minh, Thành viên Ban Cố Vấn Ban Chỉ Đạo Viện Hóa Đạo, Nguyên Đệ Nhất Tổng Vụ Trưởng Tổng Vụ Thanh Niên GHPGVNTN.
- Thành tâm tưởng niệm Chung thất trai tuần Đức Trưởng Lão Hòa Thượng thượng Nguyên hạ Chứng, hiệu Tuệ Sỹ, Chánh thư ký kiêm Xử lý thường vụ Viện Tăng Thống GHPGVNTN.
- Thành tâm tưởng niệm Chư tôn Giáo phẩm Hội Đồng Lưỡng Viện GHPGVNTN, Chư tôn đức Ân Sư GĐPTVN các cấp trên thế giới.
- Hướng vọng tưởng niệm 55 năm ngày mất của Cư Sĩ Tâm Minh – Lê Đình Thám, vị Sáng Lập Viên của tổ chức áo lam GĐPTVN.
- Tưởng niệm 50 năm ngày mất của Cư Sĩ Chánh Trí – Mai Thọ Truyền, vị Huynh Trưởng Danh Dự của GĐPTVN, Sáng Lập Viên Gia Đình Phật Tử tại Miền Nam.
- Thành tâm tưởng niệm chư Tiền Bối Hữu Công, chư vị Ân Sư, Sáng Lập Viên, Bảo Trợ, Gia Trưởng, Huynh Trưởng, Đoàn Sinh GĐPTVN trên thế giới.
- Kỷ niệm 60 năm Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam thống nhất trong một cơ cấu trực thuộc Tổng Vụ Thanh Niên – Viện Hóa Đạo GHPGVNTN.
NỘI DUNG PHÁP HỘI:
Pháp Hội được kiến lập với các nội dung như sau:
- Pháp Hội huân tu công đức cúng dường ngày khánh vía Phật thành đạo.
- Cung thiết Đại Trai Đàn Chẩn Tế – Kỳ Siêu Giải Oan Bạt Độ nguyện cầu âm siêu dương thái.
- Tịnh thiết giới đàn tôn hiệu ĐỨC CHƠN truyền thọ Thập Thiện giới, Bồ-tát giới tại gia.
- Lễ hoa đăng cúng dường, phóng sanh, phóng đăng nguyện cầu đạo pháp trường tồn, chúng sanh an lạc, quốc thái dân an.
- Trai tăng cúng dường.
- Phát quà Tình Lam cho Lam Viên GĐPTVN tại quốc nội có hoàn cảnh khó khăn.
